Yellow Chicken Curry, and Peanut Butter Dessert

Yup.  That's right.  Tonight, my husband and I (both extreme honey fanatics) made our yellow chicken curry dinner dish with honey as a sugar replacement.  The recipe called for sweetener, and the obvious answer for us was raw honey!!  I wish I had taken some pictures, but it's almost like the curry vaporized from the pan to our bellies - it was just that good.

On a similar note, one of my favorite desserts lately is peanut butter and honey.  Just together.  Just peanut butter and honey together on a plate.  It's SO good, it's finger food (yes, it's messy), it's got protein, it's got anti-allergenic superpower....

Not to mention, this would be a great dessert to test out on your kiddos.  Imagine, a happy child with a healthy dessert?? It's almost too good to be true.

Raw honey doesn't grow on the vine - Organic Honey?

Are you one of those.... stock-your-house-with-all-and-only-organic-products types of people?  Are you wondering why raw honey isn't always labeled as "organic"?

It's nothing to stress about.  Our product is almost 100% organic (we think!!).  But we don't live in the mind of the little precious honey bee.  What if one little bee traveled over to the neighbor's yard and pollenated their pesticide-sprayed plants?  We just can't guarantee that hasn't happened.

However, we can guarantee that our hives are located in fields of non-sprayed plants, and that we do not add a single drop of nothin' to our honey.  In short, you are almost guaranteed that you are buying 100% organic raw honey from My Local Honey Co.

Now you know!!

Article Awareness

A quote from NaturalNews.com:

Organic, Raw Honey: "... Honey contains a wide array of trace minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, copper, chromium, manganese and selenium. These nutrients are critical for healthy cellular insulin sensitivity and blood sugar balance.

Raw honey is also extremely rich in anti-oxidants and natural enzymes. Honey contains flavonoid anti-oxidants such as pinocembrin and pinostrobin that help reduce oxidative stress in the body and promote better enzyme activity."

WELCOME!

Hey there.  First of all, welcome to the Honey Girl Blog.  You guessed it right.  I am the Honey Girl.  Being the Honey Girl comes with a lot of responsibility crazy fun things to do.  I get to tell you all about how you can put honey in your hair, on and in your food, use it as a sugar substitute, on your wounds, in your tea...

Basically, if you've got a question that sounds something like "what the heck am I going to do with all this raw honey?!"... you can find your answers here.

I am a honey fuh.na.tic.  I eat gluten free bread with massive amounts of raw honey on it daily, drown my tea with it, eat spoonfulls of it for dessert, cook my dinners with it, and much, much more.  If you are here on this blog, I hope I can convince you of the power of raw honey by the end of your stay.

So, get comfy and stay a while why don'tcha!
